Often referred to as ‘Pot Marigold’, It has an upright, mounding tendency, habit producing large 2 1/2″ blooms that are orange in color. The edible flowers and leaves give a fresh, clean scent and are used as an antiseptic, food coloring and mild spice. it is also grown for medicinal value, as it has a high resin content. The flowers are rich in carotenoid for use as dye. The plant matures in 50-55 days.
