The 24-34″ tall plant produces abundant, 1-1 1/2″, dark blue blooms resemble old-fashioned spray roses. They have slightly less formal appearance than standard lisianthus, making Doublini more versatile for bouquets and design work. They are also known as prairie gentian, Texas bluebell, and showy prairie gentian. They mature in 145-155 days.
