Botanical Name: Spilanthes Oleracea
The 12-15″ plant produces bright, yellow flower heads with the shape of gum drops are best grown in containers or on plant beds. They are commonly known as toothache plant because they contain a natural analgesic which numbs the tongue and gums, relieving toothache pain. This numbing sensation arises from chewing either the flowers or leaves. They are heat tolerant and their flowers are edible. They mature in about 90-100 days.
